Nostalgia hits hard in “Memories of U” by CKY3 and Fat Pigeon, a euphoric throwback to the 2010s club scene that’s all fun.

Journey with me for a moment. Let's cast our minds back to the 2010s and reflect on the music that defined a decade. It was club-heavy, Ibiza-influenced euphoria that brought summer to life. Think Love Island, fruity cocktails, and the thickest makeup you've ever seen. Ah, yes, the 2010s. Already nostalgic, somehow.
That nostalgia resurfaces in "Memories of U" by CKY3 and Fat Pigeon, who use all the hallmarks of that era: Repeated vocal phrases, build-ups and drops, and high-pitched synthesisers. The result is a track that teleports you straight to Ibiza without a care in the world. You can almost picture the Love Islanders emerging from the pool in slow motion, their manicured nails smoothing back their hair. Of course.
It's the kind of track that turns the saturation up. The sea becomes the bluest it's ever been with neon colours appearing everywhere you look. This is music that demands nothing more than pure, unadulterated fun. It's not deep or complicated, but that's precisely why it excels at its job. There's nothing demanding here; it exists for the joy of it. And we need that escapism now more than ever.
